God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Everyone NEEDS to be saved because all have sinned.

  • Romans 3:23  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

  • Rom. 3:10  "There is none righteous, no not one."

We all deserve Hell because of our sin. God is Holy and cannot allow sin into Heaven.  The payment for sin is an eternal Hell.

  • Romans 6:23  "For the wages of sin is death."

  • Revelation 20:14,15  "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

We cannot save ourselves by our church membership, baptism, or good works.

  • Jesus Christ is the only one who can save you from the payment required for your sin.

  • Ephesians 2:8,9  "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

  • Titus 3:5  "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us."

Jesus Christ died and rose again to save you from an eternal Hell. He paid the penalty for your sin.

  • Romans 5:8  "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

  • I Cor 5:21  "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Salvation is a free gift which is received by faith when you repent of your sin and trust Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

  • Luke 13:5  "...but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

  • John 3:16  "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

  • Romans 10:13  "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

  • Hebrews 2:3  "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;"

What We Believe

The Holy Bible is the inspired and preserved word of God.

  • When we say Holy Bible we are referring to the Authorized 1611 King James Bible.  It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice above the opinions of any man, tradition, or any other source.

·   2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

·   2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

·   Psalm 12:6-7  The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.  Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

·   Psalms 119:89  LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

·   Psalms 119:103  How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

·   Psalms 119:130  The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

·   Psalms 119:140  Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

·   Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

·   Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Jesus Christ is fully God.

  • He is the second person of the trinity, and not a lesser deity.  That without any essential change in His divine person, He became man by the miracle of the virgin birth.

·   John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

·   John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

·   John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

·   John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

·   John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

·   Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

·   Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

·   Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

·   Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

·   Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

·   Colossians 1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

·   1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

·   Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The Holy Trinity.

  • There are three persons in the Godhead, but they are only one God.

·   1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

·   1 John 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

·   1 John 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

·   Matthew 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

·   Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

·   Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

  • We are made in the image and likeness of God.

·   Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

  • We (in His image and likeness) are a "trinity" also in that we have a body, soul, and a spirit.

·   1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Salvation is a free gift from God.

  • It comes by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary when we repent of our sin and place our personal trust (100%) in the finished work (death, burial, and resurrection) of Jesus Christ.

·   2 Peter 3:9  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

·   Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

·   Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

·   Ephesians 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

·   Galatians 2:16  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

·   Ephesians 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

·   Colossians 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

·   1 Peter 1:18  Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

·   1 Peter 1:19  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

·   Acts 20:28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

·   Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

·   Romans 5:9  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Eternal Security of the believer.

  • Once a person is truly saved they are eternally secure in Jesus Christ.

·   1 Peter 1:5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

·   Ephesians 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

·   Ephesians 4:30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Heaven and Hell.

  • We believe in an eternal Heaven for the saved, and an eternal Hell for the lost.

·   Revelation 20:12  And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

·   Revelation 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

·   Revelation 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

·   Revelation 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

·   Mark 9:43  And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

·   Mark 9:44  Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

·   Mark 9:45  And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

·   Mark 9:46  Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

·   Mark 9:47  And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

·   Luke 16:19 ¶ There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

·   Luke 16:25  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

·   Luke 16:26  And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

·   Luke 16:27  Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:

·   Luke 16:28  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

·   John 14:2  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

·   John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

·   John 14:4  And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

·   2 Corinthians 5:1  For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

·   2 Corinthians 5:2  For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

·   2 Corinthians 5:3  If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

·   2 Corinthians 5:4  For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

·   2 Corinthians 5:5  Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

·   2 Corinthians 5:6  Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

·   2 Corinthians 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

·   2 Corinthians 5:8  We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Satan is real.

·   John 8:44  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

·   Matthew 4:1  Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

·   Matthew 4:2  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

·   Matthew 4:3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

·   Matthew 4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

·   Matthew 4:5  Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

·   Matthew 4:6  And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

·   Matthew 4:7  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

·   Matthew 4:11  Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

·   1 Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

·   2 Corinthians 4:4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

·   Revelation 20:1-10  And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3  And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 4  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5  But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7  And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8  And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9  And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. 10  And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
