Ken Sparks grew up in a Christian home and a Bible preaching church. When he was seven, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a Christian boy’s camp. At sixteen, he dedicated his life to preaching the Word of God. Heidi grew up in the home of a pastor of a Bible-believing Baptist church. She made a profession of faith at the age of five and, as a teenager, received assurance of salvation. Ken and Heidi met at Pillsbury Baptist Bible college where they attended and graduated. Ken majored in Bible and minored in Speech communication. Heidi majored in Bible and minored in church ministries.

In 1994, Ken started Bethesda Baptist Church, an inner-city church in Hartford Connecticut. Amidst the gang violence, broken homes, and drug activity so prolific in the city, Ken used hard Bible preaching, personal discipleship and karate instruction to evangelize the lost and build the church.

Ken felt the Lord’s leading into the ministry of evangelism in 2001. His burden is to see souls saved, pastors encouraged and revival in independent, fundamental,    Bible-believing Baptist churches.

1 Cor. 1:18  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
